The gas station, owned by Schuler and Dome Proprietors, has long since been demolished.

5. RAILWAY DEPOT

2nd Street, between Chicago Street and Clifford Street, Gorham, KS 67640

The train station where Moze sends a telegraph with “love, affection, and $20 cash” is gone, but the granary across from the station looks exactly the same as it does in the movie.

6. THE RESTAURANT

Main Street, between Maple Avenue and Beech Avenue, McCracken, KS 67556

“You want a Nehi and a Coney Island?” asks Moze. The restaurant, which stood on the east side of the street, across from the Dream Theatre, has been demolished. “I want my $200,” insists Addie.

7. BARBER SHOP

2508 Avenue E, Wilson, KS 67490

“I ain’t a boy!” insists Addie. She and Moze leave the barbershop, walk north along Avenue E, cross 25th Street, and cross the street to the General Merchandise store.

9. GENERAL MERCHANDISE INTERIOR

Schermerhorn & Lang, 2504 Avenue E, Wilson, KS 67490

Addie cries for the $20 bill she got from her Aunt Helen in Wichita. The scene was shot inside this store. You can see the hardware store that provided the exterior out the window.

While Moze sees the Harem Slave for the umpteenth time, Addie gets her photo taken at the paper moon photo booth.

11. TRAVEL INN

Made from Scratch, 527 27th Street, Wilson, KS 67490

“This little baby has to go winky-tinky all the time,” says Miss Trixie Delight (Madeline Kahn). Moze drives east on 27th Street and pulls into a gas station and diner that was torn down and is now occupied by a restaurant.

12. WHITE CLOUD HOTEL

Ozz & Ends Stuff Store, 130 Market Street, Gorham, KS 67640

Addie and Imogene (P. J. Johnson) sit on the steps of this building, and Moze and Miss Trixie drive west along Market Street, stopping across the street in front of the post office, now Wrangler Trading Post.

13. EXCHANGE HOTEL

Midland Railroad Hotel & Restaurant, 414 26th Street, Wilson, KS 67490

Built in 1899, this three-story limestone building with 28 elegant rooms was once considered one of the finest hotels in the Midwest. The hotel, where Addie and Imogene conspire against Miss Trixie, closed in 1978. Nearly 20 years later, the Wilson Foundation purchased and renovated the historic hotel, which reopened in 2003. A year earlier it became listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Still photographs from Paper Moon adorn the wall where the stairway leads up to the second floor.
