About the Author

Beverly D. Flaxington holds both a BSBA and an MBA from Suffolk University and is now an adjunct professor at Suffolk in the undergraduate and graduate programs, teaching Small Business Management and Dealing With Difficult People. She has run her own business consulting firm, The Collaborative, since 1995.

In 2008, she and her consulting partner cofounded AdvisorsTrustedAdvisor.com, a site dedicated to the needs of financial advisors. Bev is a Certified Professional Behavioral Analyst and Certified Professional Values Analyst, and works with the DISC and PIAV tools. She has been a Certified Hypnotist and Certified Hypnosis Trainer for over 15 years. She works both in corporate settings and one-on-one with individuals to help them manage their stress and meet individual, career, and corporate goals. She is also an accomplished trainer and public speaker. Beverly is the coauthor of Wealthbuilding: A Consumer’s Guide to Making Profitable — and Comfortable — Investment Decisions, published by Dearborn Financial Publishing.

Wealthbuilding was a Book of the Month Club Money Club selection. Bev lives in Massachusetts with her three children, four dogs, and three cats.
