Constructing the Appliqué Element

Use the pattern as a reference for the placement of the flower pieces. Remove the fusible release paper to expose the fusible web on the flower center and the small piece of the flower. Leave the paper on the largest piece of the flower to keep it from being fused to the ironing board while you assemble the piece.

Arrange the flower pieces and fuse together.

Now remove the paper from the large piece of the flower and fuse the stacked flower onto the starched background. Fuse the leaf in place about ½˝ from the edge of the flower.

TIP • If you have a hard time placing the pieces exactly where you want them, use the tip of a ball-head pin or a stiletto to coax the pieces into place. It works like a charm!
