Chapter Fourteen

I screwed my eyes up against the harsh glare of the sun shining straight into my face. Even through my closed eyelids, it was blinding. Shifting in an effort to turn over and away from it, I found I couldn’t move. It felt like a great weight was pushing down on my chest. I panicked, and my eyes snapped open. It took more than a few seconds to remember why I had a naked man draped all over me.

I’d not only managed to sleep with a naked Sam wrapped around me, but we hadn’t separated during the night, even when I’d rolled onto my back. Sam had readjusted himself so that his head rested on my chest and his half-hard dick pressed into my thigh. My own began to swell and lengthen in an appreciative response.

The alarm wasn’t due to go off for another thirty minutes. I switched it off and concentrated on trying to lever myself out from under Sam without waking him. No way did I feel up to facing an awake Sam in broad daylight while we were both still naked. He didn’t stir as I gradually maneuvered myself over to the side and out of the bed.

My decision to dress and shower much more quickly than usual and grab breakfast on the way to work rather than stay in the house and eat it was in no way due to the naked Sam still lying in my bed. At least that’s what I told myself as I left the house forty-five minutes early.

The morning raced by, all my clients proved straightforward, and the early start had at least ensured I was particularly well organized. In fact the strange looks Sarah kept throwing my way whenever our paths crossed were the only downside of the day.

It took her all of ten seconds after my last client had walked out the door to make a beeline into my office. She stood on the other side of my desk, smirking. Confused, I waited for her to say something. She just carried on smirking. Finally, I lost patience.

“Something I can help you with, Sarah?”

The smirk got more pronounced. “You got laid.”

My voice came out as a strangled squeak. “You can’t possibly know that.”

“I’m right though, aren’t I?”

I considered lying but suspected she’d probably see straight through me. “How can you possibly tell?”

Sarah cocked her head to one side and studied me. “You’re much more chilled. It suits you.”

I shrugged, not sure how to respond.

“Was he good?”

My head whipped up, heat immediately rushing to my cheeks.

Sarah held up a hand. “Hang on. Don’t answer. That was far too personal a question.”

“You think?”

Thankfully, the insistent ringing of her phone outside the office halted the conversation. However, she couldn’t resist one final comment on her way to answer it. “Anyway… He obviously was good. You’ve got a satisfied glow.”

I was sorely tempted to throw something at her retreating back but managed to restrain myself, or maybe it was the lack of anything suitable to throw that stopped me.
