Strategy 4, actions speak louder than words

To help yourself paint a more realistic picture of him, there’s a very effective method where you match his words with his actual actions. To do so, take your love goggles off again and take a look at the things he said, promised or told you did he in fact come up to scratch? Here are some examples, but find your own:

Examples:

He said you were the only one he was dating, but you could constantly see on his Facebook profile that he befriended other girls (and you know he didn’t meet that many new female co workers).

He said he was crazy about you, but prioritized the most of his time with someone/something other than you.

He promised to pick you up at 8 o’clock, but ran late not having a proper excuse.

He promised that Saturday night was going to be with you, but cancelled for whatever reason (other than his family or dear ones were in trouble).

He told you about his past and what he wanted in a woman which matched perfectly with you, but dumped you anyway.

He told you about his many friends and bragged about them, but you never experienced his friends being that interested in him.

You need to find these integrity flaws to help your brain see reality and not “Mr. Perfect”, because he wasn’t! If he was, you’d still be together.

His actions show his level of interest in you. You can also see this if you f.ex. told him about something that mattered to you and he didn’t show much interest, by asking more about it, didn’t want to talk about it or quickly turned the conversation back to being about him.
