Cheese Straws

Makes 24 straws

1 (17.3-ounce) package frozen puff pastry, defrosted and kept cold

Egg wash of 1 egg beaten with 2 tablespoons water

2 cups shredded Parmesan cheese

Preheat oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking liner.

Place the pastry on a floured surface. Using a rolling pin, roll to about 1/4 inch thickness.

Brush the surface with the egg wash and cover with shredded cheese.

Using a rolling pin, lightly press the cheese into the pastry.
