Was Chernobyl a Can of Worms?
The implosion of the nuclear power plant in 1986 at Chernobyl, Russia, was likewise claimed to be a “fulfillment of prophecy” because the word “Chernobyl” allegedly means “Wormwood,” as in the biblical passage of Revelation 8:11: “And the name of the star is called Wormwood: and the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter.”
Rather than this tragic accident serving as a sign of supernatural intervention, it may be that those who placed the catastrophic nuclear plant at Chernobyl were also aware of this excerpt from Revelation. Since many ruling parties upon this planet have practiced the occult, which includes biblical prophecy, it may have been with tremendous irony that they contrived to position a poorly constructed nuclear reactor at such a site. However, the wormwood plant purportedly surrounds the Chernobyl reactor, and was supposedly the reason the area was so named, although there is a debate as to this interpretation of the city’s name, which literally translates to “black white.” If the scenario of “Chernobyl” meaning “wormwood” is true, this “coincidence” would actually be humorous, except that the event has been a toxic nightmare. So, if Chernobyl was an act of the all-powerful God following a biblical “prophecy”—and we may as well blame it on him as his followers are claiming he ordained it—it would reflect more sadism than humor.
