Take the thread down the hook and tie in the Golden Pheasant crest to form the tail. At the same point, tie in the oval silver tinsel, dub on the black seal’s fur and wind down the shank to form the body.

Follow with the tinsel to form the ribbing.

3.

Tie in the black cock hackle (under the hook) and also tie in some Blue Jay hackle on the outside of the black cock hackle.

4.

Tie in the wing of bronze mallard on top of the hook, whip and varnish in the usual way.
