Space

Your home office should be away from your bedroom, as far away as possible. If the layout of your home is such that there is a scope for a separate entry for your home office, then that would be a really good idea. If this isn’t possible, then make sure that there is as much space between these two rooms as possible. Also, your home office should be away from the kitchen and the common areas. You don’t want people to keep passing through your office to get to another room. There needs to privacy. Your home office is your place of work and it is quite important. The two places where you shouldn’t set up your home office would be the master bedroom and the basement. The basement is a low-energy area since it is below the ground whereas having your workstation in the master bedroom would violate the boundary between your work and personal life. If you don’t have any spare room to convert into your home office, then you can use the guest room or even some free space available in the living room or the kitchen. Even the placement of your desk will affect your focus and work efficiency. Therefore, make sure that you have found the ideal spot for it.
