Varieties of Garlic
Most people think of garlic as just “garlic,” but there are actually two different subspecies—hard necked and soft necked—and many different varieties. The type most commonly found in grocery stores is artichoke garlic, which is of the soft necked variety.
Add the Earth Balance to a 2-quart slow cooker and sauté the onions and peppers on high heat until they are golden brown, about 5–7 minutes.
Add the rest of the ingredients except for the parsley. Cover and cook on medium heat for 4 hours. Mix in the parsley.
