Tuesday, November 21st

Joe Kayll flew Radcliffe’s machine out of the ploughed field in the morning. ‘A’ Flight were released today and Vick, Kayll, Gore, Irving, Blackadder—Dixon went into Lille by lorry together with an unidentified member of 615. A fairly extensive survey of the town and its attractions was held, so that our next visit should have more definite entertainment. We dined at the Hotel Bellevue and visited the Cafe Jean, Miami, Olympia and Liliana, the rest being dancing dives.
