Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth . . . where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven . . . where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. (Mt 6:19-21)

To do this requires single-mindedness, for it is impossible to serve both God and money (Mt 6:24). But if serving God is top priority, there is no need to worry about food and clothing, for the heavenly Father knows the material needs of his children and will take care of them (Mt 6:25-33).
