Application tips

▪ Leave your foundation to settle for a few minutes before dusting on powder.

▪ Dip your brush into the powder, gently blow any excess off the bristles. Work down the face to prevent particles of powder from catching superfluous facial hair and giving an uneven finish. Sweep the brush to blend.

▪ If you’re going to apply eye make-up, dab a fairly thick coating of translucent powder under the crescent area of your eye area beforehand to collect any deposits of eye shadow that fall down. The powder will act as a magnet for any falling eye shadow. Sweep away with a soft brush when you have finished blending to avoid leaving your face streaked with colour. (This tip is not recommended for older skins.)

▪ If using a velour puff for application, lightly press on face and roll, repeating motion to literally press powder into the skin. This creates a longer-lasting finish and is better for oily skin types.

▪ A powder brush is domed and won’t cover all areas, but because it skims the surface, it’s useful for sweeping away excess powder. Generally, the more soft and voluminous the brush and the more natural the fibre, the better.

▪ Gently place a little powder under the eyes, down the bridge of your nose and onto the tip of your chin.
