Accompanying a child or adolescent in their philosophical explorations can be an essential part of psychotherapy, something adolescents especially miss greatly. Julian is a four-year-old boy, who was presented because of disruptive behaviour in kindergarten. He is very intelligent and inquisitive. One day, he asked his mother, ‘Mum, when you die, will you remember that you had me as your child?’ This question preoccupied him for many days.
