Directions to Make

Write a form of technology on each card: television, Hubble telescope, video game, telephone, camera, personal computer, etc.

Directions to Play

Hand the cards to the children. Read the words out loud.

Allow the group to arrange the cards in the order in which they think each was invented.

Check. Provide hints to help them change any technology items on their timeline.

Game Variations

Focus on specific inventors, scientific discoveries or forms of travel.

Let each player choose one item to learn more about prior to the game beginning. Allow them to be the expert and teach others about their technology invention.

Make a card for the dates and have children order the numbers and use dates on the inventions on the timeline as well.
