The way Hunter had been looking at her all night…

As though he were ravenous for something more than the incredible food they’d eaten. He hadn’t once glanced in the direction of the wine stewardess who’d been delighted to bring a bottle of Dom to their table at Hunter’s request. The blonde had been elegantly gorgeous. He hadn’t blinked or offered that sexy half smile of his. Nothing.

Meanwhile, by the end of dinner, Natalie was left tingling, and confused, and downright horny.

God, she had to be imagining it, but then he’d been all weird with the waiter, and all she could think was that he’d been jealous. He’d never been jealous before.

But the look in his eyes…

Okay, so she’d panicked a bit, because if they’d gotten in that limo and he’d given her one more burning look, she wouldn’t be responsible for her actions. Going back to their hotel room with thoughts like what he’d look like without that coat and tie and fine-cloth shirt was also sure to end in disaster.

So she’d dragged him in here.

Natalie tugged Hunter between round tables covered in dark blue table clothes with shockingly lime green napkins. Not the way she would have gone. The space was massive. This must usually be a ballroom, because her party event-planner-spidey-senses told her the room was set up to accommodate close to a thousand guests.

It should’ve been tacky as all get out, and yet the ever classy and exclusive Four Seasons had managed to make it work. A combination of lime greens and darker blues and whites—hydrangeas, and spider mums, and orchids with quite an interesting accent thrown in.

“What’s with all the peacock feathers?” Hunter muttered.

Natalie didn’t miss the way a woman at a table they were passing frowned. At them? At his question? Or at something else?

“No idea.”

Was that gold gilding around the edges of the feathers? Good grief.

“So,” Hunter said, glancing around the room. “What’s the game plan?”

Not touching, that was for sure.

Dinner had left her aching in the most delicious, wrong way. She had kept clenching her thighs under the table to try to relieve the sensation. Her vibrator—which she’d brilliantly brought along on a whim—would be getting quite the workout tonight. That was for darn sure.

“Nat?” Hunter prompted.

Right. Plan.

“Um…” She glanced around.

The live band was set up in the center of the room with the tables arranged in a sort of half-moon around a dance floor laid out in front of the musicians. The floor was packed with couples bumping and grinding to the pumping music.

Natalie wasn’t sure what she’d expected. More cowboy hats. Maybe bales of straw. Definitely line dancing. This was not that.

Perfect beat for a worm. Nothing could go wrong between them doing the worm. It had to be the most unsexy dance ever invented. Plus, no touching.

“You first,” she said, and grabbed Hunter by the hand to pull him along.

There was no space for what he needed to do on the actual floor, so she found them a relatively open spot on the carpet to the side.
