I learned that potato chips were good. They tasted even better than my puppy food. I learned that the vet was bad. The vet was a big gray building made of blocks. When I went there this lady named Miss Becky pushed and poked me. She looked in my ears and took my temperature. (That was embarrassing.) Then she stabbed me with this sharp, pointed needle that really hurt, and patted me on the head. Going to the vet wasn’t fun. When I got home, I learned that snapping at flies was fun and that they wouldn’t hurt my nose.

Like I said, I learned a whole bunch of stuff. The bestest thing I learned was “go for a walk.”

One evening while My Justin was watching TV, I went to lie on the People bed with My Carol. Sometimes, My Justin wasn’t ready to go to bed when I was and it was fun to spend time with her. She munched on some potato chips and gave me some. Suddenly, she crunched the sack shut and jumped out of bed.

She stood in front of this bright shiny piece of glass and patted her tummy. Then she used her muscles to pull her tummy in, only when she relaxed, it sort of popped out and she patted it again. She frowned, made a growling sound at the shiny glass, then got foot covers for her paws out of the closet.

The next morning, when I was doing my tee-tee Puppy bit, she frowned down at Chomps. She patted his tummy, then patted her own.

“That’s it, Chomps.’ She made a people noise. “I’ve had enough of this fat stuff. We’re gonna start walking. Ready to go for a walk?”

“Go for a walk” was the best mouth noise People can make. Because “go for a walk” is the funnest thing in the whole entire world.
