Bonsai Soil

The mixture or planting medium of a bonsai is of paramount importance for the good health of the tree. It should be a draining mixture in which the water does not stagnate or retain too much moisture to prevent root rot. I recommend 3 media consisting of thick river gravel, volcanic rock and good quality compost.
