Day 18
Even though Zombies had hands similar to those of Humans and I guess like those of Villagers, they were having a rough time trying to open the cage my friends were trapped in.
âAre we going to stay trapped here forever, Rocky?â
Mikey wasnât handling the entire situation with calmness we needed for this â I didnât blame him, though â I donât know what I would do if I was trapped for days.
Robo on the other hand, looked pretty angry â he didnât say a word ever since they were rescued.
Well, they werenât completely rescuedâ¦yet. We still have to figure out a way to unlock that prison box. Why would someone even bother to make something like this? If I learned something, Iâve learned that Humans are pretty strange creatures.
All Zombies - at least two dozen of them â were now trying to figure out a way to help Robo and Mike. No one could crack the secret on how to open the cage â Iâve tried as well and Robo and Mike tried more than just a couple of times.
And with all Humans running away I guess Zombies had nothing better to do at that moment.
âWeâve tried to break and unlock it so we could get out. We would do it every single night while the Humans were asleep, but we couldnât do itâ¦â
âAll right, hereâs the thingâ¦â, one of the Zombies started and it didnât sound like he was going to say something we would like to hear â bottom line: it would be nice if heâd started with: âHey, Iâve got some good newsâ¦â
Now, that would be a lieâ¦
âYou know how Zombies barge into Villages and areas where Humans settle and then we go around their houses and try to get inâ¦?â
âNo, but please go on.â
âWell, it would be easier to enter and scare them if we knew how to open the doorsâ¦but we donât. The same goes for this thingâ¦â
âSo, you canât open the cage???â
âNo, we canât open the cage. Sorry, little guyâ¦â
âBut how do you get in then?â
âOh, we just break the doors.â
âBreak them?â
Mike sounded frightened.
Break, huh? That sounds painfulâ¦pretty much painful.
âWell, when you say âbreak itâ does it means that you kind of break the whole thing?â
âOh, yeah. Thereâs rumbling, shaking and breakingâ¦and stuff like that. Pretty tense.â
Gulp!
I looked at Robo and Mike to see what they had to say about. It seemed, though, that this would be their only choice.
âDo we have another choice?â
That was the first thing I heard Robo say in a long time â he sounded like he didnât care whether he would stay in there, trapped forever or be set free by allowing the Zombies to perform their ârumbling and shaking and breaking and stuffâ.
He still looked pretty angry, though.
âUmm, I donât think you have.â one of the Zombies said, âUnless of course, you want to ask the Human to unlock this thingâ¦but I donât think he would do it.â
Well, of course he wouldnât.
âBreak it then.â Robo said coldly.
The Zombies were right â there were really rumbling and shaking and breaking and stuff.
