Parents of bullies often deny what is happening. Maybe they think, “It’s not my problem!” But long term, bullying is just as much a problem for the bullies.

In the USA, ordinary eight-year-old children have a 1 in 20 chance of having a criminal record by the age of 30. For eight-year-old bullies the odds are 1 in 4.

In other words, an eight-year-old bully is five times more likely to have a criminal record by age 30. 7

Childhood bullies are more likely to be convicted of serious crimes.

Bullies who refine their skills as kids become bullying boyfriends, bullying bosses and bullying dads.
