DO YOU KNOW WHAT MY FAVOURITE PART OF THE GAME IS? THE OPPORTUNITY TO PLAY.

Sport unites people all over the world so get the stag do off to a head start with activities that will have your guests cheering all day and all night. The options are endless, from booking football match tickets to playing golf or swapping land for some extreme water sports. Speak to the guests prior to booking to check if they have any medical conditions or preferences that might inhibit them from partaking in an activity.

DAYTIME ACTIVITIES

PLAY FOOTBALL WITH A LEGEND

This comes with a big price tag but if you’re willing to pay you could go down in history as the best best man there has ever been. You will meet a footballing legend on the pitch where you can play a match, take penalties or just mess about with the ball. Afterwards, you’ll be able to sit down with a pint and find out all about his career and life as a footballer.

SURFING

Whether you are a pro or you’ve never surfed in your life, this activity is always great for those with bundles of energy. With locations all across the world, you can be specific with your search, from the climate to the size of the waves. Some of the top places to surf are Hanalei in Hawaii, Biarritz in France, Muizenburg in South Africa and Thurso in Scotland. Make sure that your fellow stags are happy with the cost of the activity, flights and accommodation before you commit. If the party is keen on the idea of surfing but can’t afford the package you are offering, look locally as there are likely to be more options to choose from than you might think.

It’s usually better to go for a weekend course, provided the other stags approve, to really be able to improve. Take a GoPro so you can play back the videos that same evening and have a laugh at your surf fails. If you want to continue the fun into the night, choose a surf destination that is known for its party life. You might be hungover the next day but you’ll soon be cured once you take a dip in the sea.

GOLF

Don your best patterned jumpers and get straight on to the fairway if you know the stag would love nothing more than spending his weekend hitting birdies. This is a great activity for home or abroad and there are plenty of courses to choose from. If you are all experienced golfers, you might want to spend a whole weekend teeing off in the day and settling down with a few beers in the evening. Or, if you haven’t had much practice before there are always options for the novices, such as minigolf, the driving range or a golf simulator. For some relaxation and lads’ time away, this is an easy choice, especially if the rest of the group are as big on golf as the groom-to-be.
