By this means His Majesty shows that he listens to the one who speaks to him.

It is his grandeur that speaks.

– By suspending the intellect.

– By binding one's imagination.

– By taking the words from one's mouth.

The Master is teaching the soul by suspending its faculties.

The soul is enjoying and being enkindled with love without knowing how.

This good is a gift from God that cannot be merited; it is perfect contemplation.

25.3: A. In vocal prayer and mental prayer we do something ourselves, with the help of God.

B. In perfect contemplation, His Majesty is the one who does everything.

25.4: Teresa points out that she explained contemplation at length in the book she wrote for her confessors (the Life).
