The coconut flakes added to the soap look like snowflakes and create winter mood. Cold aroma of essential oil of the Chinese mint will only enhance it, make it brighter.
In the melted base some natural fillers sink, and some – float up. Coconut flakes refers to the second category. You will have to make some efforts to distribute them evenly in a hot base. The main task is to reduce the temperature of the base to its light viscosity. It is necessary to stir it constantly in the process to prevent film formation.
Stop for a second and watch what happens to coconut flakes. If they gradually float up, the temperature of the base is still high and it’s early to stop. Do not use tinted flakes — the result is unpredictable.
Main ingredients:
100 g of transparent soap base
1/2 teaspoon of coconut
5 drops of chinese peppermint essential oil
