An antique garden cart displays “escort posies,” small bundles of each table’s flowers in pearlized pots, hand-lettered in waterproof ink by twentyandseven, with the guests’ names and names of their tables.

What could be simpler than this fruit-filled cake with fondant icing (above, left), baked by Elisa Strauss? We added a scattering of fresh, edible rose petals and served each slice with raspberry sauce and a petal or two (this page). Edible flowers can be included in your wedding menu—these are goat-cheese-stuffed zucchini blossoms, with honey and lavender (above, right).
