VARIABLES?

What is a variable? Something that is “apt to vary, changeable; capable of being varied, alterable.”58 Many people believe that if something is God’s will for people, it will happen, period—automatically. False. They fail to consider other factors. We are in the midst of hostiles, cosmic terrorists, who want to enforce their will on people. We live in a continual spiritual war that never lets up! All of our choices, actions, words, and decisions vary and can open up our lives to the things of God or the things of our enemy. God wants peace and goodwill toward you; your enemy wants confusion and ill will toward you. There is no meeting ground between the two. One is the kingdom of darkness and the other is the Kingdom of Light. There is no admixture between the two. God does not jump camps and work sometimes with the devil. He is not a co-laborer together with the devil!

So I ask these questions: Why do many Christians believe and speak like they don’t know this? How do we get God mixed up with the works and schemes of the devil? Apostle Paul instructed his students (and us as well) regarding the difference between the plans of God for your life and the plans of satan. “So that no advantage would be taken of us by Satan, for we are not ignorant of his schemes” (2 Cor. 2:11 NASB). It’s obvious that if you don’t know what’s coming at you from satan, your lack of knowledge will allow him to work in your life and take advantage of you! You can now see why God has to make statements like the following, which are sad, but true!

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge… (Hosea 4:6).

Therefore My people have gone into captivity, because they have no knowledge… (Isaiah 5:13 NKJV).

It’s not God’s will for His people to live in captivity and bondage, experiencing works of destruction in their lives!

We have seen that the “extreme sovereignty” belief system is based upon a faulty premise that says, “Everything that happens in life is God’s will.” False. That insults the character of God, ignores the fact that we have an adversary, makes God’s will equal to that of the devil’s, and disarms the Church, which is to aggressively confront the works of the devil and advance the Kingdom of God on the earth.

If you believe that everything in life comes from God, there will be times when you mistakenly embrace situations sent by the devil, thinking that they are sent from God. Then you will wonder and say, “Why is God doing this to me?” I want to clue you in on a fact—He’s not! Never agree that God is behind evil. The devil is allowed to have his way when people ignorantly and unknowingly agree with him! Always remember that satan hates you and has a destructive plan for your life.
