9.f. The inf εἶναι (part of the construction ἐκ τῶν λεγόντων . . . εἶναι, lit. “of those who say that”) serves to introduce indirect discourse (Votaw, Infinitive, 8–9).

9.g. Variant: Ἰουδαίων for Ἰουδαίους] C * fam 16112050 2329 2344 Eth arm. This is probably the result of a mechanical assimilation of the case of Ἰουδαίους to that of the preceding substantival ptcp. τῶν λεγόντων (Schmid, Studien 2:98).
