3. Fill the spray bottle with tap water. Set it to medium spray so that it will spray droplets, not a fine mist. Spray the water up in the air above the glass, allowing the water droplets to fall back down onto its surface. Move the bottle around as you spray to create a random, organic effect.

4. Holding the aerosol can 7 to 8 inches (18 to 20 cm) from the base of the table, spray the white lacquer on the wet surface in long, even strokes, being careful to overlap the edges. To avoid undesirable drips, do not linger in one area too long. Let the lacquer dry slightly for 2 to 3 minutes.
