Epstein’s Zorro Ranch, New Mexico
Among the people Epstein and Maxwell cultivated was Prince Andrew’s ex-wife. She called Epstein regularly and he provided her with cash. Epstein found in Andrew a kindred spirit. Epstein was delighted to be invited to the Dance of the Decades at Windsor Castle in 2000.
A friend who knew them both well said, ‘Jeffrey had Andrew put on a pair of sweatpants for the first time in his life. He had him wear blue jeans for the first time. It was Jeffrey who taught Andrew how to relax.’ It wasn’t quite accurate as Andrew had previously dressed down as a seventeen year old during his year abroad from Gordonstoun in Canada. Relieved from palace pressures in Canada and treated like an exotic celebrity, he’d loved being carefree. But the prince had buttoned-up again in the navy. It seemed that Epstein renewed Andrew’s more playful side. The men partied together again at Heidi Klum’s ‘Pimps and Hookers’ Halloween party in New York. They visited Sandringham that December and, the following January, were photographed together on billionaire Johan Eliasch’s luxury yacht in Phuket, surrounded by topless girls.
That spring, Andrew flew out to Epstein’s Zorro Ranch in New Mexico, where the poolroom was decorated with a striking portrait of Maxwell, next to the communal shower and hot tub.
‘There was this huge painting of Ghislaine naked with her legs open, six foot by six foot,’ a member of staff said. ‘She was on a chair, leaning back, with her legs open. You could see everything. She would definitely have posed for that.’
There were pictures of Andrew and Ghislaine. On that occasion Epstein had a beautiful young woman with him. While the others went out, she stayed at home with Andrew.
‘We had all these different teas that you could pick,’ said Deidre Stratton, one of the staff at the Zorro Ranch charged with recruiting young massage therapists. ‘She asked me to find one that would make him more horny, that he hadn’t been interested in her. I’m guessing because she understood her job was to entertain him.’
Stratton thought that Epstein had the woman on a retainer.
‘She knew what her job would be,’ she said. ‘Should be, you know, to make these people happy.’
Asked why Epstein would set Prince Andrew up with a stranger, Stratton said: ‘I have read where the island was set up with cameras where Jeffrey could tape these men with their underage people and use it as blackmail. I mean, that’s the oldest game in the book, isn’t it?’
It was around that time, March 2000, that Virginia Giuffre said she was trafficked to London to have sex with Prince Andrew in Maxwell’s townhouse. The foto of the three of them together dates, Giuffre claims, from this evening and was taken on the landing upstairs.
Epstein continued his career as a sexual predator until March 2005 when a woman called the Palm Beach police department, saying her fourteen-year-old stepdaughter had been lured to Epstein’s mansion and given $300 to strip to her underwear and give him a massage.
