1:Prepare the edges. Fold over the edges of the fabric twice and use pins or clips to hold them in place. This helps prevent fraying and gives the edges a nice thickness so they’ll be sturdy but not overly stiff. Start by folding over one side. When you get to a corner, tuck it in, and continue folding the next side.

2:Secure the yarn. Cut a 25" piece of yarn (a longer strand may start fraying as you sew). Tuck one end of the yarn under the folds of the fabric and secure it with a clip. When you stitch over that area, you’ll cover and secure the end of the yarn.
