What Must We Think, Say, and Pray When We Are Afraid?

Lord, help me to remember everything I need to recall from Your Word, especially whenever I am afraid. Enable me to speak Your Word boldly in the face of the things that frighten me. Even if there is no one else around, I will declare what I believe because Your Word gives me strength and peace and builds my faith. Thank You that You have “come as a light into the world,” so that whoever believes in You “should not abide in darkness” (John 12:46). I don’t have to live in the darkness of fear because I now live in the warmth and protection of Your healing and restoring light. Thank You that You have “overcome the world” (John 16:33).
