Plant Bugs

Harlequin bugs

Most of the true bugs are categorized as Plant bugs. Plant bugs come in many colors, including light-green, mourned brown, bright red-orange, and lime green. Harlequin bugs, tarnished bugs, four-lined bugs, and squash bugs are the most commonly found plant bugs. Plants bugs, although seemingly harmless, inject toxins into the leaves, shoots, and buds of your perennial plants while feeding on them. This toxin damages the plants by causing round and sunken spots on the leaves, making them look brown or black. If the number of bugs is high, it may result in the curling and withering of leaves and leave the plants looking deformed. Daisies, mints, asters, Liatris, and dahlias are the most susceptible perennial plants to the attacks of plant bugs. That said, plant bugs can usually be identified by the unpleasant odor they produce.
