How to install a battery bank

There are currently two main methods of installing a Battery bank in a solar power system. These two methods are the series and the parallel method. This guide to understanding how to mount your batteries in series or parallel.

TOOLS REQUIRED

● 2 or more batteries

● Flat screwdriver

● Pliers (for crimping)

● A key of 8

● Stripping pliers

SERIAL CONNECTION OF YOUR BATTERIES

The series connection requires you to connect the pole (+) of one battery to the pole (-) of another.

Example:

With 2 batteries of 12V 100Ah, we will obtain a battery of 24V 100Ah.

With 4 batteries of 12V 100Ah, we will obtain a battery of 48V 100Ah.
