KELSEY
Janet called to let me know that two Detectives came to the job looking for me. She said they left a card asking that I give them a call. I wasn’t interested in no fucking Detectives because nobody was going to stop me. Amari could send the troops if he wanted to, it still wouldn’t stop me. Only thing that would stop me would be him calling me and telling me what I needed to hear so that we could be the family we’re supposed to be. I’m done playing games with his ass.
Now that I couldn’t go to work I decided to go stake out Lexi’s house; no doubt that would be where he’s staying. I called his job and they said he hadn’t been in, so maybe I can catch him there without Lexi being around. I pulled up to Lexi’s house just as Amari was pulling out of the driveway, so I decided to follow closely behind him. Being I was in a rental, I didn’t worry about him being on alert. He would never expect me to be following him in this piece of shit car. He knows I’m high maintenance and wouldn’t be caught dead in a Toyota. Amari pulled up to his father’s house and parked in the driveway. I’m assuming he was there to clean up the mess I left. I parked, got out of the car waited ten minutes before going towards the house. I looked through the window from outside and sure enough he was cleaning up the living room. I turned the door knob and to my surprise he didn’t lock the door. I walked in like I owned the place, he turned around and the look on his face scared me just a little, because I’ve never seen him this angry before. He had good reason but I had good reason for my actions too.
“What the fuck are you doing here Kelsey? I know you’re crazy, but stupid too, not a good combination.”
“No need for name calling Amari, all I want is to love you. Why can’t you see that? Why do you continue to make me do bad things Amari?”
“Kelsey, you’re sick and I don’t know how many times I have to tell you that all I wanted from you is your friendship, but you just don’t seem to get it. Why can’t you understand I don’t have any romantic feelings towards you?”
“So, you really going to stand there and tell me you feel nothing for me? I find that hard to believe. Whenever it’s just us you treat me like a boyfriend treats a girlfriend, but as soon as you meet someone you want to put me on the back burner. You did it with Kindrah now you doing the same thing since you met Lexi.”
“It’s not even like that. All I tried to do was be your friend. All I asked in return was you to be my friend in return. It never fails, you have
