(How to PROVE you are qualified as a junior developer)

Blog == You will prove through consistent blogging and hard work that you are diligent and a hard worker and not just a catchy resume word. Hour log == Some people will religiously follow your blog everyday and others will check in every month. Keeping track of your hours will prove what you have been writing about is also what you've been doing with your time. All junior hires are a bit of a risk to a company. Companies will be MUCH more likely to take a gamble on you if you can back up what you are writing and saying with an hourly journal.

Github/Bitbucket == Github is your street cred. All your blogging, hourly chart, and marketing will get you phone screens and interviews however it's this part that the technical hiring person will care about. Developers will look at your repos/code etc, before they even consider actually bringing you in for an interview. This is what PROVES what you've done and that you are serious.

Likability == The people skills part should have been won from hearing you speak, meeting you at meetup groups, and hopefully through reading your blog and finally through interviewing.

If you follow the roadmap and have all of the above "ducks in a row" it will only be a matter of time until you are picked up by a company.
