As more and more American soldiers are getting overrun and captured, a very disturbing trend emerges and every American in uniform in Korea is coming to understand what kind of men they faced. On August 15, the mortar platoon of H Company, 5th Cavalry was suddenly overtaken without a fight. All thirty-four men were found executed the next day when the North Koreans retreated.
