RAISED BED FOR ACID-LOVING PLANTS

Make this beautiful timber raised bed and fill it with ericaceous compost to grow a range of acid-loving plants, such as strawberries and blueberries, on a patio or terrace, or in a productive border.

This raised bed ensures your acid-loving plants will thrive year after year. Make the bed as deep as you can, so there is plenty of compost to keep the plants happy. If the bed is too shallow, roots may grow through drainage holes in the liner and into soil with the wrong pH underneath. Make sure any treatment used on the wood is suitable for use near food crops.
