“Interdimensional beings” and portals aside, I showed in chapters 4 and 5 that even the most basic elements of the Nimrod story popularly employed by most Illuminati/New World Order theorists have absolutely no basis in the Scriptures, history, or even reality. There isn’t a shred of evidence that Nimrod married a woman named Semiramis or that he started a religion. And the information we have in the Bible about Nimrod is scant at best. All of these ideas come from extrabiblical myths and traditions that began no earlier than the first century, having blossomed and swelled up to this present day. Proponents of this view simply have no genuine basis to tie their theory back into the biblical story.

Remember: responsible biblical interpretation should never revolve around or rely upon traditions, myths, or just plain speculation. Besides, there is no need to focus on extrabiblical information about ancient Babel to understand the identity of the great harlot/ Mystery Babylon. The Bible already provides us with all we need to properly understand Babylon and how it would have been viewed and understood by the early believers.
