Chords and Strumming

Chords are made up of two or more notes played together at the same time. Earlier we told you about your right hand and holding a pick and now we’ll show you how strumming works.

To start with we’ll just use the open strings to practice this. This means you don’t have to push any strings down with your left hand fingers. You may need to hold the neck of your guitar, without touching any strings, to keep it steady whilst you do this.
