10. Pin one end of your ribbon with a small safety pin and, starting at the bottom, feed the ribbon up through one side of the casing and back down the opposite side of the casing. Repeat for the other casing and ribbon. Stitch across the top of each casing to secure the ribbons in place. Gently pull the ribbon to gather the sides of your cover-up; then tie the ribbon ends into a sweet bow. Sew 2 decorative buttons to the right side of the front bodice, directly over the hook-and-loop fastener for a faux button closure (Figure I).
