Signature Cocktails

Creating a drink menu is a fun way to personalize the cocktail hour, and it can also cut down on lines at the bar, as certain drinks can be premixed. Develop unique concoctions (aka your signature cocktails), or offer drinks reflective of the season—for example, spiked apple cider and eggnog for winter weddings, Moscow mules and mojitos in the summer. This is also a great opportunity to serve something with a personal connection, such as a local beer or a liquor in honor of the bride’s or groom’s heritage (Russian vodka or a bottle of scotch, for example). And if the colors of the drinks align with your color story, even better!

Appetizers

Whenever you serve something to drink, you should always offer something to nibble on. If you have a large budget, this could be formal tray-passed appetizers or delicacies such as a raw bar with sushi or oysters on ice. Otherwise, you might want to set up a table or two with classic ideas like a cheese board, crudités, an assortment of charcuterie, or meze.
