5. Topstitch close to the side and bottom edges.

Complete the case

1. Pin the tab centered along the top edge of the exterior (on the side the strap is sewn onto) with right sides together and raw edges aligned. Insert the exterior into the lining, right sides together, keeping the tab between the layers. Align the raw edges and side seams and then pin.

2. Sew around the top edge with a ¼″ seam. This is the trickiest part. Be careful to keep the other side of the opening free when sewing through all the layers of one side. To do this, sew a few stitches, readjust the case under the presser foot, and continue sewing a few more stitches. Continue this way all the way around the top edge.

3. Pull the exterior through the opening in the bottom of the lining. Hand stitch the opening closed, and then push the lining into the exterior.

4. Topstitch close to the top edge, keeping the tab open and free, carefully stitching around the edge as before. Flip the strap around so that it surrounds the case.

Now slip in your camera, tuck in the tab, and go!
