cornhusk-flower napkin rings
Dried cornhusk “petals” can be cut to form nearly any simple flower shape. Husks are naturally off-white or purple; soak the two together to produce a pink hue. For the napkin rings (see photograph), three shades of cornhusk apple blossoms were attached to wire with floral tape. Although the tiny blooms look intricate, they are easy to produce in quantity. Together, they offer a celebration of the fruits of the harvest while evoking the promise of a vibrant growing season to come.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED Dried cornhusks (available at specialty grocers), paper towels, cornhusk-flower napkin ring templates (see here), card stock, scissors, 32-gauge wire, brown floral tape
