WHAT DOES A YIN PHASE LOOK LIKE?

A Yin phase does not mean stopping altogether. These phases involve an invitation to consider how we approach our work. Yin phases can be sweet, regular reminders to consider whether or not we are applying old patterns of intense achievement to our daily lives, and to consider modifying our approach if we find ourselves doing this.

Remember that Yin and Yang phases are always relative, rather than absolute, terms. What this means is that these Yin phases will always be relative to what is going on in your life, as well as to your New Moon. Your Yin phase might look different from someone else’s Yin phase. Your Yin phase will definitely look different from your Yang phase.

Asking what do we do during a Yin phase is very natural for us because we are such doing creatures, and we are living in a culture and a society where there is a lot of doing going on all the time. We are so conditioned around the doing that it can be difficult for us to even phrase the question in another way.
