DAY 185

Your Body Becomes the Possession of God

How lovely is your dwelling place, Lord Almighty! My soul yearns, even faints, for the courts of the Lord; my heart and my flesh cry out for the living God (Psalm 84:1–2).

Our inner being, inner workings, and inner emotions are meant to desire Jesus and to long for His courts. The Lord says to you today that a new desire for Him is reemerging; your longing for Him is in “surge mode.” But this is not all that will happen; this will not remain as only an inner, emotional, heart cry for the one who loves you. It will also break out of your inner world and your whole body; your flesh will start to desire Jesus again!

Just as King David in the Psalms saw his internal and external world unite to long for God, the same will happen to you. Your inner world will manifest on your physical frame. Your inner desire for Jesus will easily become a physical action.

Desire for God will take over and take possession of your bodily nature. Your aspirations and desires will get cleaned up and aligned, and every part of you will single-mindedly want to commune with God. You will no longer feel fragmented and frustrated over what happens when inside you is a holy thought but it never seems to work out into fully holy actions.

The Lord says that as your desire for Him is restored, there will also be a restoration that comes to brokenness and weakness in your physical frame. You will be healed from the inside out, and wellness will have your heart and your physical being.

Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well (3 John 2).

This prayer from the Apostle John links the wellness of your physical health to the wellness of your soul. It’s a beautiful place to be called, to be so aligned throughout your whole being that every facet of you is well! This is God’s plan for you today.

RECEIVE

Take time to open yourself up to the wholeness of God that is rushing toward you. Wiggle your fingers and toes and see God fill you, top to bottom, with who He is, so that all you are becomes His possession and not given over to anything less.

DAY 186

Adventures in Higher Realms of Sight

Do not fret because of those who are evil or be envious of those who do wrong; for like the grass they will soon wither, like green plants they will soon die away. Trust in the Lord and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture. Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him and he will do this: He will make your righteous reward shine like the dawn, your vindication like the noonday sun (Psalm 37:1–6).

“I am carrying you to higher realms of sight,” says the Lord.
