Simple Cross-Stitch on a Vest and Knicker Set

A vest, with opera top, and darted at the waist to fit snugly to the figure, and slimly-cut knickers make up this useful set.

It is lightly embroidered in a dainty design in cross-stitch and lazy-daisy stitch on the front of the vest and on each wide leg of the knickers. The hems are finished with a simple and quickly-worked buttonhole stitch. The photograph below shows you a sampler worked in this design.
