Let’s walk that way towards the fair. It’ll be real fun. It’ll be such a treat.

The children plead with their parents.

“Please can we have a go on the carousel?”

“Can we have a go on the roller coaster?”

“Please, can we have a go on the swinging chairs as well?”

“Ok! ok!” agrees dad. “We’ll have to see if you measure the right height.”

“Yes, it’s fine!”

Mum looks up and up. It’s so high.

So why does mum have that look? Is it a look of fear?

“We need some tickets. Let’s read the sign. If you pay ten pounds, it appears you can have as many rides as you like.”

“Let’s go for it,” say’s dad.

Mum looks it up and down. “Not for me,” she say’s. “I’m not feeling up to fast rides today.”
