Procedural rituals help the classroom run smoothly without teacher support. Here are a few ways I ensure students know what to do for each of the day’s lessons:

Activities on the daily schedule are color-coded, so students know if they need computers (red text), iPads (purple text), or no technology (blue text).

Our computer cart schedule is posted, so students know which computer cart we have checked out for the day. They can bring it to our room and return it at the end of the day.
