The second and third parts of the wrap comprise triangular wings, one of which is sketched in Figure 149 and both of which are shown in Figure 150. The stitches to start the wings are picked up along the sides on the centre section, to allow the wings to be knitted outwards, while decreases are worked along one side edge. Because the centre section is narrower towards the top, the wings are set at a slight angle to the centre section, giving the wrap a lovely drape around the shoulders. The wings have a cable border and are worked in stocking stitch, which was inspired by the smooth glass surfaces all around the area of the Agora. Reverse-stocking stitch ridges, highlighted in the images shown in Figures 150 and 151, echo the structure of the centre section.
