5mm (US size 8) knitting needles

Cable needle

2 stitch holders

TENSION (GAUGE)

18 sts x 24 rows = 10cm (4in) square working rev st st on 5mm (US size 8) needles.

ABBREVIATIONS

SPECIAL ABBREVIATIONS

C6B (cable 6 back): slip next 3 sts onto a cable needle and hold at back of work, k next 3 sts from left-hand needle and then k 3 sts from cable needle

C5B (cable 5 back): slip next 3 sts onto a cable needle and back at front of work, k next 2 sts from left-hand needle, then k 3 sts from cable needle

MB (make bobble): (k1, yf, k1, yf, k1) all into next st, turn, p5, turn, k5, turn, p2tog, p1, p2tog, turn, slip 1 st, k2tog, psso (bobble complete)

T3B (twist 3 back): slip next st onto cable needle and hold at back of work, k next 2 sts from left-hand needle, then p st from cable needle

T3F (twist 3 front): slip next 2 sts onto cable needle and hold at front of work, p next st from left-hand needle, then k 2 sts from cable needle
