Chapter Seven

Johnny opened his eyes the following morning, ready to race to North’s room to check on her. He didn’t like the fact that Hawk had made her sleep away from them once again. What if she’d gotten scared or had walked out of the house? The Den was ginormous, and she could’ve easily gotten lost if she’d decided to explore.

Hawk grabbed Johnny around the waist when he tried to get out of bed. “Not so fast.”

“But I have to check on North.”

“She’s fine. I’m pretty sure she’s already out of bed and playing with some of the mates.”

That didn’t reassure Johnny. He wanted to be the one who made her smile. North was his, but although Johnny didn’t mind sharing with others, not this time.

He was also afraid her parents would be found and she’d be taken away from him at any minute. He knew he wasn’t supposed to get attached to her, but he saw so much of himself in North. All Johnny wanted to do was protect her.

But his train of thought switched tracks when Hawk slid his hand down Johnny’s bare back and cupped his ass. His eyes fluttered closed when Hawk kissed his shoulder. Johnny turned, sliding his arms around his mate’s neck. “Are we about to have sex?”

Hawk chuckled. “What gave it away?”

Johnny pointed to Hawk’s hard cock. “Your monster told me.”

One of Hawk’s brows arched. “My monster?”

Johnny giggled. “I can call your penis whatever I want.”

“You got that right,” Hawk growled.

“Okay, but we have to be quick. I have to go check on—”

“Such a smart man.” Hawk reached to their nightstand and pulled out a bottle of lube. He liked when his mate called him smart, because Johnny knew he wasn’t that intelligent. He wasn’t putting himself down. It was the truth he’d accepted a long time ago, and Hawk loved him regardless.

He snatched the lube from Hawk and wet his fingers. Johnny knew how much Hawk loved to watch him stretch himself. He climbed off Hawk and turned, his ass right in Hawk’s face.
